Back on a service bus to explore some of the pubs between Leicester and Loughborough
We’ll Meet at the Organ Grinder in Loughborough at noon. Plan is to then use the Arriva 126/7 bus to village hop back to Leicester.
Suggested in Loughborough are the White Hart then Moonface tap and any others you fancy before getting bus to Quorn mid-afternoon to visit the White Hart & Blacksmiths. Then another bus hop to Mountsorrel for the Swan & the Sorrel Fox, before continuing down Rothley to visit the Woodman’s Stroke (Woodies) and then back to Leicester.
No need to book for this one. Getting to Loughborough is easy – the Kinchbus Skylink is the quickest bus to Loughborough but if you haven’t got a concessionary bus pass the Arriva 126/7 is the most cost effective. An Arriva “Zone Plus” day ticket is £6.20, or two adults can travel on a Family day ticket for just £7.00. An Arriva ticket will be needed for the trip back if you do not have a concessionary pass.
