Procedure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At least 6 months under same management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least 2yrs before a winning venue can be nominated again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An unsuccessful nomination may be re-nominated. A vote will take place for each nomination (no stacking of nominations) even if only one nomination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proposer to arrange & attend presentation and may be asked to join presentation photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nominations may be made at a branch meeting or by email to secretary@leicester.camra.org.uk<\/a>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nomination<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1 There has been an improvement to the real ale offer\/pub environment in the last 6-12 months. Improvement to overall feel and atmosphere of the venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

or<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Consistent standards over a number of years that the proposer feels should be recognised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nomination should be backed by a [detailed] description of the improvements\/standards with additional comment regarding the offer, service, evidence of backing CAMRA values, any community involvement, Locales and other relevant information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This should be 2-3 paragraphs in length whether presented in writing or verbally.  An example is something like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It always has bass and black sheep and a guest beer that changes about 4 times a week all kept to the highest standard. Real Cider is also available and a fine range of wines and spirits.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a thatched cottage with outside gardened patio with shades and heaters and an extensive garden down to the brook. It is family run and the service is prompt, efficient and friendly, you get full measure without having to ask and free pre tasters are provided. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a pub where anyone can go in and feel comfortable whatever their age. There is no music, no fruit machines and no food in the evening. It is a PUB in every sense of the word. They do very pleasant bar meals and cobs at lunchtime. The lost art of conversation reigns here. It is not the cheapest around but nobody minds given the value for money in this ever popular and busy village pub.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awards are usually presented on the last Wednesday of the month but this can be varied to fit in with the venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
