One of the truly great features of the British pub tradition, and one that goes hand in glove with its social function, are pub trails and crawls. This may sound surprising, but Leicestershire alone boasts some 600 real-ale pubs, of which 120 also serve real cider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Small wonder, then, that pub enthusiasts and lovers of the great outdoors alike have started spending many an afternoon working out how to get to them, particularly since a lot are on the countryside and often hard to reach on public transport!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are in the process of compiling the best pub trails, crawls and walks for you to recreate. Some will take you around our fantastic city, others reach out into surrounding CAMRA branches, and some will require a little bit of leg work, too. But then the rewards of reaching that little-known gem in the middle of the sticks make well up for it!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
